Glassell Murder Mountain Urban CX Race
Alley cat race with some cyclocross to make things more fun and challenging for the racers!!! Get your legs ready!!!
Thanks to New Belgium Brewery race includes two beer stops so make sure join the event if you will be attending so we will have enough beer on hand and don't forget to bring your ID! non-alcoholic option will also be available.
We will be having a swap meet and costume contest before the race from 12PM-4PM. After party and awards ceremony (for race and costume contest) will be held across

Entry Fee: $5 (this will go to cash prize winners)
Race: 4PM
2 lap race will include a Le Mans start, 2 beer stops, 1-1/2 miles of dirt, 800 ft of climbing, some up to 20%, 188 stairs and more!
Geared bikes encouraged, but not necessary.
You will need tires that can go through dirt.
Wearing a helmet is strongly encouraged!
Be ready to ride through the dirt and do some epic climbing!!!

Queen, "Bicycle Race" (Original Video)
In 1978, Queen released Bicycle Race on their Jazz Album. Inspired by the Tour De France, Freddy Mercury later wrote, "Bicycle Race," a true classic and easily recognized song.
I found this bit of information from Wikipedia, "The video for the song became scandalously famous for featuring 65 naked women, all professional models, racing at Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium. The group rented the stadium and several dozen bikes for one day for filming the scene; however, when the renting company became aware of the way their bikes were used, they requested the group to purchase all the bicycle seats.The original video uses special effects to hide the nudity."

Mamas Gun Version of "Bicycle Race" by Queen
"I want to ride my Bicycle, I want to ride my Bike ..."
This is Mamas Gun's version of Bicycle Race and I have to say its pretty good.
Bicycle Race was first released in 1978 on Queen'z Jazz album. Freddy Mercury got the inspiration to write it while watching a stage at the Tour De France.
