Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Double Century

Yesterday, me and 5 other guys decided to ride our bikes from Claremont to Oceanside and back. The trip took us all day and was 206 miles total. I never really considered riding this far but when the opportunity was presented to me, I couldn't say no. Thanks Ricardo, Balmore Martinez, Omar, Warren Peace and Attila Horvath for coming along for the ride.

Glendora Mountain Road to Mt Baldy Ski Lits

When Attila said let's ride to the Mt Baldy ski lifts I was half in.  Honestly, I thought the idea of riding to the lifts was more entertaining than actually riding to them.  Did I really want to suffer those last few miles from the lodge to the lifts?  Did I want to crawl my way up the numerous switchbacks?  Not really. It's always easier to turn right and head down Mt Baldy than heading up, especially after climbing Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Ridge Road.

Fortunately, I ran into Chris and he said some words of encouragement. Basically he expected to see my Strava and FB post on FB showing I made it to the lifts.  Also, the night before, I did tell Attila I would join him for the GMR to Ski Lifts ride so I couldn't back down.

Glendora Mountain Road to Mt. Baldy (plus extra credit)

Today Michael Young, Melissa Perez and I tackled GMR to Mt. Baldy (plus extra credit) for a total of 60 miles. Along GMR/GRR the weather went from overcast to perfect. After completing the Mt. Baldy part, we rode to Rancho and headed home via Baseline. This ride wore me out and it was a grind heading home. Good Times!

Total trip 60 miles.

Monday Morning Crazy Legs

Warren made this ride particularly spicy this morning.
