Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Meet Tim Woo.

Below is Tim's interview with Holly Breck, Pro Cyclist for Sho-Air Twenty20.

Tim Woo is Doctor of Physical Therapy Candidate 2018 at Western University of Health Sciences who graduated from the University of La Verne with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Movement and Sports Science in 2014. With the SoCalBikePT Podcast, He strives to tell the story of riders from all levels and disciplines and how they interact with physical therapy during recovery from injury all the way to performance optimization.

Tim currently resides in Fontana, CA with his beautiful wife and two young children and continues to race his bike as a member of IMPACT Racing, a local Southern California team committed to making an impact on and off the bike by supporting local charitable causes through sponsor-funded grants.

Saturday Morning Montrose Ride

Today Nathaniel and I planned to ride the Emerald Loop near SGVT, however the below post on FB made us change our plans.  Basically some guy tried to steal a Bicycle Friends bike on the LA River Bike Path.

Hi everyone!
I just want to share what happened to me today
I went from home to long beach on the LA River Bike Path and two guys try to stole my bike from my hands, basically I pass under a bridge an one of the guys was talking on the phone a looking at me an the bike and a couple hundred feet away was the other guy that had a baseball bat and stopped me and demanded me to give him my bike, so I told the guy yeah take it just let me get out of it and when he got distracted... I pedaled the hardest I ever did, the guy was an African American guy, he was high. I just hope they learn this lesson..I've done this ride many times even at night and you always see the homeless on the sides but never happens , today I saw way more homeless since last time I went and did this ride, a friend of mine told me a month a go someone pull a gun to him in this same river bed.I can't believe this happened to me at 2 PM.. Be Careful

So with that said, we opted for a shorted Montrose ride.  I was fun and Nathaniel and I pulled a decent portion of the 7:45 am group.

Above is Nathaniel and Jake.  Jake is from Chicago and on one epic US bike tour.
