Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

GMR Hustle on a cold day

It was a chilly 30 degrees when Mike Khoe, Michael Young, Rommel Jimenea, Brian Desatnik, Kevin Johnson and I headed out from Foothill Ave., / Garey Ave. The goal was Pomona to GMR to Baldy. Layered up and as warm as possible, we headed up GMR. We kept a good pace and GRR was closed to vehicle traffic. At 6.50 miles into GRR the road was all iced over, so much that we decided to turn around. All in all it was a good ride and we met up with Chris Davis / Michael Dowdle and his crew heading back to Pomona.
