Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

SoCalBikePT: Ep 1 Holly Breck: "Whatever you do, go into it with an open mind and an open heart"

Meet Tim Woo.

Tim is well known throughout the local cycling community.  When Tim shows up on a ride you know it's going to be painful and fast.  Visit and subscribe to his latest creation, SoCalBikePT on YouTube.

Below is Tim's interview with Holly Breck, Pro Cyclist for Sho-Air Twenty20.

Tim Woo is Doctor of Physical Therapy Candidate 2018 at Western University of Health Sciences who graduated from the University of La Verne with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Movement and Sports Science in 2014. He has years of experience working in the bike industry and is an avid racer and member of the cycling community in Southern California. Tim believes that all people should possess the fundamental knowledge and skills for self-management of basic musculoskeletal conditions.

As the social media persona SoCalBikePT, Tim’s mission is to provide educational content, host workshops, and offer one-on-one consults that enable people to take agency over their health on and off the bike in order to optimize their body and maximize the ride. With the SoCalBikePT Podcast, He strives to tell the story of riders from all levels and disciplines and how they interact with physical therapy during recovery from injury all the way to performance optimization.

Tim currently resides in Fontana, CA with his beautiful wife and two young children and continues to race his bike as a member of IMPACT Racing, a local Southern California team committed to making an impact on and off the bike by supporting local charitable causes through sponsor-funded grants.
