Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Euro Cafe to Glendora Mountain Road to the Ski Lifts

Today Art Hernandez, Fco Iglesias and I decided to ride from Euro Cafe to Mt. Baldy Village.  Then Fco Iglesias changed the ride and added the Ski Lifts.  Needless to say I wasn't too thrilled about this but, whatever. Let's do it.  Overall it was a good ride, Art Hernandez taught me a "climbing game" where we sing aloud a song as we ascend.  Slowly, one by one people drop off the pace as breathing becomes more important than singing. I started with "Do you hear the people sing," and both guys took off.  I guess I was the sucker.  It took me a while to catch up with them because I repaired two flat tires, knitted a sweater and helped deliver a baby all before the top of Monroe.   Good times!
