Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. "PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — California cyclists are concerned about the ambiguity of a new law effective in 2014 that was created to ensure their safety.

Beginning Sept. 16, motorists will be required to maintain a 3-foot buffer between themselves and bicyclists when they pass cyclists traveling in the same direction. If not enough space is available, the motorist must slow down and pass "when no danger is present to the bicyclist," according to the California Department of Motor Vehicles."
