Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

I dream of gravel roads

I've always had a fondness for CX bikes and with the gravel bikes becoming more popular, I decided to build up a custom Rock Lobster CX/Gravel bike.

Today I did a modified Two Wheel Tuesday route.  I integrated some double track and fire roads around Bonelli park before heading on pavement.

It was a lonely ride and while on a Bonelli fire road, I pondered the idea of being eaten by a mountain lion.  Scary stuff but also peace full.  It was cold and there was mist in the air.
