Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

GMR to Mt. Baldy

Mike Y and I headed up to Glendora Mountain Road this morning.  It was a quiet car free ride for the most part.  While heading up GMR, two fire engines and an ambulance passed us with their lights and horns blaring.   We continued up and by the time we made it to the maintenance shed, they were making there way down.

At Cow Saddle we ran into a hiker who asked if we know Sylvia P.  Yes, we know Sylvia P.

We punched through the clouds right before Newmans and this made for a spectacular sight.  Overall the ride was a relaxed talking pace.  On the way down we headed to Rancho Cucamonga before heading back to Pomona.
