Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Montrose

Today's Montrose group was a bit chaotic.  It was a pretty large group and people I haven't seen in several months came out to ride today. I hung in the back and noticed a lot of hard braking going on in the pack which makes for a dangerous yo-yo effect downstream. On Arrow Hwy there was a large rug across the road and thankfully no one hit it.  The group made a couple sketchy choices when it came to yellow/red light transitions.  "Did the group just blow through a red light?" "Did it happen twice?"

I think as we enter the summer it might be a good idea to bring back the 8:30 am group.  This will thin out the 7:45 am and 8:00 am groups and make their sizes more manageable.
