Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Buds Ride; Hot, and Dry

The Buds ride was hot and dry.  I rode solo for the first three laps.  By the fourth the Buds group caught me and I hung with them for about half a lap before I was dropped.  After four laps I was tired.  The pace didn't seem all that fast, I guess they were feeling the heat too.

I ran into a Guy with Bud's Bike Shop socks and thought it might be Mike from the ClaremontCyclist.Blogspot.com.  It wasn't but we chatted awhile.

Next weeks Bud's ride I might try intervals.

So someone else still has a pair of those sock too. Interesting. I didn't mind the heat tonight, but the dry certainly got to my throat.
