Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Carl's Hike Down Walnut Creek

A few weekends ago Carl decided to do something different. Instead of a bike ride he opted for a hike down Walnut Creek.

I wouldn't recommend riding down Walnut Creek as its too short and ends abruptly but it does make for a nice hike. Walnut Creek ends at the bottom of Valley Center. Watch out for Horses.

There were many stream crossings. Be careful as you cross. You and your bike can get stuck ...

As you can see this poor woman got her bike stuck in the stream crossing. Luckily, Carl was there to help pull her and her bike to safer ground.
