Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. "The tenth version of the South American Games has seen good, bad and ugly. The darkest moment came when velodrome officials failed to take away the starting block, with the crash leaving Aravena in hospital.

With her bike broken in two, Aravena was taken directly to Clinica Santa María and operated on late on Wednesday evening. While the operation was successful, the whole incident could have been avoided. The velodrome is the crown jewel in investment for the South American Games, but it came down to human error for the cause of the crash."
