Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

GMR to Baldy with Gary F and John P

The Marathon Crash race was on, then off, then there was hope, then it was off.  In its place was a police led fun ride so I was out.

I was not going to wake up in the early morning for a fun ride when all year long I eagerly waited for the crash race.

Instead, I decided on my "go to" ride, Glendora Mountain Road to Mt. Baldy.  Gary F came along for the ride and somewhere before the first saddle I caught up to John P.

John P picked up the pace considerably and I chased him up to the top of Monroe.  That dude is quick and it just proves, I need to log some fixie GMR miles.  Fixed gear makes you strong, and John P has been riding GMR on his fixie almost daily.

Gary did really well.  He's got an Ironman coming up in June.  Gary has been logging a few miles with me @ Monday night,s Psycho List ride and he is improving everyday.

Since I started Strava, I've been set on improving my Sierra Madre/Glendora Mountain Road to the Maintenance Shed time.  Today was a good @ 55:56.
