Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Ricard's Chill Ride

It’s about the ride and the friends you meet along the way.

Ricardo’s Friday chill ride is greatly mislabeled yet always fun. To say these guys like to push the pace a little is an understatement. Baseline Road is a fairly flat road and somehow we always end up in the mid to high 20 mph zone. A few times we cross the 30 mph threshold and its all good.

This group of guys are competitive, good humored with big hearts. Ricardo does a great job organizing rides and makes sure we are all well taken care of. The Friday ride takes us from Rancho Cucamonga to Railside Cafe in San Dimas. There we sit, sh!t talk a bit, drink coffee and laugh before heading back to Rancho. On Friday’s ride we had a larger than usual group, about 10 of us.

On the way back home, Albert taught us about the City Sign Sprints and winning them at all costs!
