Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Knobby Tire Series, Bonelli Park (Race 2)

I decided to race again this Thursday. Turn out seemed about the same despite the heat. There were the usual suspects, David, Antonio, Matt, and many other familiar faces. Race Junkies I guess. Bryant came out to race his Single Speed.

It was hot. Really hot. Somewhere between lap two and the finish, I was asking myself, why. Why am I doing this, why did I choose my rigid hardtail, why, why, why!

I was exhausted but still managed a fifth place finish out of eleven. I really want to get on the "Podium", though.

Antonio managed to Kill the competition again. I think he had the best time overall.

Bryant took Third in Open Single Speed

The Family came out to support Daddy.

Matt resting with a post game Beer? No it can't be beer?

Me next to Antonio. I need to ride with this guy more often.

Frannie and Daddy

Antonio and his daughter Crystal.

Carl came out to watch the race.

David moved up a class and finished fifth in Sport Men 30 to 39. Good Job!
