Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

BEACH Rides!

The good old beach ride.  The past two weekends, Michael and I decided on beach rides.  First via geared bikes then fixed.

You know, fixed gear ain't that bad.  Actually I prefer riding fixed to the beach over geared.  I don't know, something about riding fixed is strangely easier than on a geared bike.

Well this is Michael in the early morning.  We left Diamond Bar by 5:30 am to beat the heat.  It was a nice ride to the beach, but coming back wore me out as the day heated up.

When we got back to Michael's house we both looked pretty beat up.  Last weekend was a hot one.
