Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

CWT Loop with Jimmy

Today Jimmy and I rode out to Claremont Wilderness Trail (CWT). After much research and review Jimmy bought a new Trek 29'r and was itching to get it on the dirt.  We decided, very last minute, on a ride up Burbank to Johnson's Pasture then down Cobal Canyon.

This was Jimmy's first ride on the dirt and I have to say he did incredibly well.  The guy is a glutton for punishment.  Riding the CWT is not easy and Jimmy ain't no quitter.  I asked a few times if he was ready to turn around and head home but cutting the ride short was not and option.  We did the entire CWT loop, total trip of about 12 miles.

Jimmy welcome to the madness.
